Exploring Finian's Dream, Celtic Mist
I had the pleasure of exploring the most beautiful Celtic island of Celtic Mist and the Finian's Dream Destination site. I continue to be amazed and impressed by the creativity of many SecondLife members and this region is no exception. A mystical castle surrounded by fantastic countryside. It is worth a visit today.
Exploring The Sim Garrigua
Sorry no description of this apparent Central American town my internet connection wasn't the best today.
Exploring The Sim Quarterly (Donkeys)
The region is self-described as "What are we doing here? Sharing creative art works by SL creators and dreamers with the community! Every quarter (every 3 months) the sim will change the artist in residence. This quarter is "Donkeys" by Cica Ghost!"
It is probably the most unique and unusual region I have been to, so far. I spent about twenty minutes wandering around the region taking pics and counting donkeys. I think the concept of the region is a really neat idea and I can not wait to see what the next artist might be.

Exploring the Chinook Rockies, Nash, SL
The region describes itself as "A range of wilderness diverse natural scenery in SL where you can enjoy meeting and hang out with friends". I call it "the region that has restored my faith in natural real-to-life creativity in SecondLife". Now, granted I have travelled to many gorgeous regions during these past couple weeks. There are no doubt some of my readers who could argue that many of the regions and countless others surpass the realism of the Chinook Rockies, Nash region. They might be right.
Maybe it was just the mood I was in today that framed this stunning region in such a positive light. Perhaps it was the politeness of the region owner, Samantha3 Lexington, a photographer herself, and her generous nature of opening the region up to visitors and renters alike. I don't know, but my time spent on the region, well over an hour, was definitely not wasted. I may have taken very few photos, only a fraction of the opportunities that were presented to me, but it was worth it.
I only wish my budget allowed me to rent there. It's not the rental prices were unreasonable, I think $L400-500 a week (plus 50 prims) is quite reasonable for the near-real-life setting but as you know I have to live on a tight stipend from SecondLife these days. Yes, I seriously considered moving there. I mean, who wouldn't after visiting this place, it's peaceful, serene, and the views were just one photo op after another.
There were several rentals with spectacular horizon views of sunrises and sunsets. I would not be surprised if they weren't all occupied by the end of the month. Once you visit this place you won't want to leave. Please take the opportunity to visit this region and capture some of its' virtual beauty for yourself.

Exploring the Lost Lagoon, Sea Starr, SL
The Lost Lagoon is a beautiful region criss-crossed with trails and areas to sit and take in the breathtaking views. Photo opportunities abound I recommend using the Estate sun settings to view things as these photos reflect. I spent about an hour there and as I was leaving found a trail I had not even seen walking right by it taking me to another quarter of the region. When you visit you really need to view this region as you would an area in real-life, look for the hidden treasures and check out all of the angles for photos. You won't be disappointed.
Exploring the SUM A ROO - Winter Imagination, Outset Island, SL
A beautiful winter wonderland that consists of a path and road encircling most of a small lake. There were a few spots where you could get some really nice photos. I explored it during the early morning sunrise which took about half an hour. You can find a link to the region here: https://secondlife.com/destination/sum-a-roo
Exploring the Snow Falls, Orinoco Valley
Another SecondLife Destination this beautiful winter wonderland is situated next to a small town center and resembles a small rural setting complete with church, houses and a wooden covered bridge. It was a great place for photo opportunities or to sit, relax and enjoy the smoothly flowing scenery. This is probably the best place I have explored with this new explor-zine but I am certain it will not be the last. Take a good hour to explore and enjoy Snow Falls of Orinoco Valley, SL.
Exploring the Imaginarium Holidays Santa's Village, Brewery
Exploring a special Christmas Village located next to a shopping mall. There was a disturbing number of both living and dead Santa's everywhere in the display area.
Exploring the Franks Elite Romantic Ballroom
Thank goodness Frank's has survived under new ownership. Here are scenes from the Christmas Holiday Ballroom.
Exploring the Dickens Project
Take a journey back in time this holiday season and walk the streets of 19th century London, England as you explore the virtual world inspired by the works of Charles Dickens, in particular A Christmas Carol, published in 1843.
Exploring the Isles of Scotland
On a recommendation from SecondLife Destinations I decided to explore the Isles of Scotland on Christmas Eve 2019. It is a beautiful tribute to Scotland complete with rugged hills, a fishing dock and sheep. I recommend it as a place to go and relax and take some beautiful selfies or landscape photos.
